While on secondment my role focused initially on supporting a full Travel Choice team review through to adoption. I then became a permanent strategy team member working on the newly legislated Regional Speed Management Plans, preparing submissions on a range of consultations, and participating in sector engagement. I led the drafting of the Annual Monitoring Report and six-monthly progress reporting on the Regional Land Transport Plan. Most recently, I supported the completion of the Regional Land Transport Plan, with a focus on the programme section.

Originally employed on a temporary basis, I was asked to re-join when a long-term employee left, with the intention of assisting the team through the transition and helping to revitalise the Ceremonies team. The base role was that of which I had done previously. What I enjoyed most was expanding and deepening our relationships both internally and externally, managing annual capacity and resourcing with minimal budget, supporting external stakeholders in developing processes and timelines, while engaging a full revamp of team collateral.

The Aotearoa Bike Challenge is a joint initiative between NZTA and Love to Ride, proposing to New Zealand businesses to engage as many people in their workplace to jump on a bike, for ten minutes or more, anytime throughout the month of February, with the added incentive of winning amazing prizes!Starting midway through the challenge, my role was to liaise with NZTA, councils, prize sponsors, and with both organisations and participants to deliver the nationwide challenge. I also assisted with PR, maintained the website, and provided weekly progress reports to Love to Ride.We exceeded targets with over 300% of organisations registered, and 125% individual participation.www.aotearoa.bike

A new initiative at Victoria, The Bubble provides a space for students to relax in a stress-free, study-free environment on campus. As a Leader, we were at the epicentre of student life, with particular interest in those with signs of deep-rooted issues who may benefit from the additional counselling and student-centred services the University provides. I took this on amongst my University study.

As sole co-ordinator for The Remarkables ski field, accountability included bookings for School Tours (nationally and internationally) both direct and through Agents, larger group bookings, Adaptive Programme volunteers, private lessons, holiday programmes, and administration for one-off events.I liaised with multiple departments prior to the groups' arrival, and was the point of contact on arrival and throughout the day.
