As Associate Director (Employer Engagement & Work-based Learning), I have overall responsibility for the strategic and operational running of King's employer relationships, international reputation, and its relationship with all stakeholders, including employers, suppliers, alumni and donors.I ensure the department delivers upon its recently approved strategic objectives, aligned to Strategy 2026 alongside working with a variety of organisations, industry bodies and stakeholders ensuring our partners are kept abreast of news and developments and that King's remains a top target for employers around the world.Within Employer Engagement I lead business development, events and work-based learning at a globally top 40 ranked multi-faculty university.Remit spans across all faculties including the Business School and with responsibility for delivery across four teams: Employer Relations & Development, Events & Experiential Learning, Global Placements and King's Internships (totalling 20 staff), to engage employers, industry partners and alumni in a full suite hybrid events programme, recruitment and vacancy handling services, careers education workshops and e-learning, bespoke internship provision for disabled and under-represented groups, accredited internship modules and shell frameworks, work shadowing and consultancy projects, international outreach and localised work-based learning schemes in Mexico, Spain and USA. Also lead delivery of industry placement strategy in the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences and King’s Business School.We support corporates, SMEs, business chambers, non-profit organisations, NGOs and government agencies on a global scale.
