Some specific responsibilities include:▪ Planning and coordinating train movement by generating switching plans for yard crews.▪ Supervise and coordinate activities of train crews engaged in switching rail cars to facilitate loading or unloading of cars and the making up and breaking down of trains. ▪ Responsible for conducting proficiency testing of train and engine personnel.▪ Operate trains on an as needed basis to fill crew shortages or for any other reason as required.▪ Maintain a positive relationship with all customers and vendors.

As a Freight Conductor I am responsible for the safe operation of freight trains and the transportation of cargo.
