As part of the AFT Teach Human Rights team, I prepare Human Rights lesson plans for teachers across the country and world. In 2019 I worked on the Education for Democracy curriculum, and in 2020 alongside the Robert F Kennedy Human Rights organization we are working on Defenders of Human Rights and Democracy in our Communities lessons.

Founder and Coach of PSJA Memorial's first Mock Trial Team. Several of my previous students wanted to be in a Mock Trial team and asked me to sponsor them. Working with these students every week on public speaking, body language, communications, and helping them develop their personal goals.Our first competition in the RGV led to two awards: Best Witness and Best Advocate in both rounds.

I write and prepare World Geography curriculum in Spanish for the academic school years. As a whole, I revamped the curriculum and keep it up today with current state standards and culturally relevant, engaging lessons in Spanish.

I teach Social Studies to amazing students at PSJA Memorial HS in Alamo, TX! Moreover, I prepare lesson, activities, and individual plans for all of my students in Spanish. My classes cover Texas standards with an emphasis on human-environment interactions, labor rights, gender, local history, and race.

Educate. Agitate. Organize. Work with the School District to make sure PSJA is the best place it can be for Staff and Students. Successes so far: Fall 2019 - Across the board staff pay raises, Winter 2019 - District adopts our LGBTQ+ and Workplace Bullying policy, Spring 2020 - Defeat of DoI status threatening Worker's rights.

• Taught a five-week World History summer school class at Sam Houston Math Science and Technology Center in Houston Independent School District using the Common Core and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills Standards.• Crafted daily lesson plans and weekly assessments• Achieved 90% mastery of standards for every student on final assessment• Completed over 100 hours of coursework and seminars in instructional planning, classroom management, pedagogy, literacy, and diversity, equity, and inclusion training.

Created social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, the YUP blog, and GoodReads for the press. Coordinated events and contests through online platforms. Pitched Authors blog post ideas, edited them, and maintained the Press' Podcast and Blog programming.

Selected from a national pool of applicants by the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program to be part of a 20 student cohort in a two-year conservation leadership program. Over the course of Summer 2016, I spent two months crafting my own ecological field research projects throughout California and participated in leadership and professional development workshops in Summer 2016 and January 2017. The Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program at UCSC exposes early-career college students to the field of environmental conservation through field research, leadership and professional training. Each year, 20 students from around the U.S. and its territories are selected to participate in our two-year conservation leadership program. Our students represent a diverse spectrum of cultures and backgrounds, which helps to cultivate a unique and rewarding experience.

As a Spanish Language Tutor I help students advance their Spanish skills through Yale's foreign language tutoring program. I work through conjugation, speaking, cultural tid bits, and try to get all my tutees to a point where they are comfortable speaking spanish in a casual setting.

As a member of Dean Holloway's advisory committee, I was selected from among Yale's 5000 students to be part of a 12 person team to help bring student's concerns and thoughts to him through regular meetings.

As a Yale Student Ambassador, I explain the application and financial aid application to high achieving High School students in South Texas. In general we reach out to students who might have otherwise not applied to Yale. I have created my own presentation and independently contact schools to see if they would like for me to visit during Spring Break or Thanksgiving. Taking my role a step further I've given out my email to many applicants and have hopefully made their application process a bit smoother.

As the department's student office assistant I help with day to day activities, long term projects, and anything that might come through the office. I tend to make copies for professors' classes, scan books, help set up for teas and symposiums, take charge of the office when administrators are not around, most importantly: keep the coffee supply high.

At NatCap I am working to better understand Water Fund projects in Latin America and the use of NatCap tools in those projects. I am working with various water fund managers and technical staff to understand the implementation and use of technology in sustainable water management.

The Valley Land fund is steward of over 10,000 acres, permanently protecting it for area wildlife. VLF works in Texas' eight southmost counties . As VLF's GIS intern I helped create a GIS database of all VLF conservation easements and properties. I worked with regional governments and records to create a digital ArcGIS and Google Earth database. I also helped at RGV Costal Expo 2017 helping promote VLF's Southern Exposure's Photo contest and teach school children about conservation.

The Ivy Council is a not-for-profit organization comprised of student government leaders, student organization leaders, and students at large from the colleges and universities of the Ivy League. The Council was established in 1993 by members of the Ivy League student governments in order to facilitate effective communication between the student governments of their respective institutions and to provide a unified voice for the Ivy League student governments. Since then, the Ivy Council has expanded the scope of its activity both nationally and internationally with programs such as the Ivy Leadership Summit and student-exchange opportunities in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.As one of Yale's Co-Head Delegates, I've helped revitalize our efforts on campus. Yale's delegation used to be very active, it has declined over the past couple of years. Despite the uphill task that my co-head delegate and I face, we are hopeful and have already begun to see fruits to out labors.

As a math tutor I helped students that would come to our company for help. As a tutor I worked mostly with differently abled students in mathematics. Despite the difficulty with which my tutoring career started, the more I prepared, reflected, and took into account my students' learning style the better the experience became. Together we worked to get them from a point of disliking mathematics to being an A maths student.

During my time on the Mayor's Youth Council, I helped advised Mayors Richard Cortez and Jim Darling on different issues that affect our community, particularly the youth.
