Junior Achievement Company Programme (JACP) is one of the largest youth entrepreneurial programmes in the world, working with over 350,000 young people globally every year. Since its inception in Hong Kong in 2003, it has been providing students with the most unique learning experience. Being the volunteer business advisers for an 8-month programme each year, I coach senior secondary students to form and operate a mini-company as they would in the real world, to develop their entrepreneurship, teamwork and leadership. Students elect management team, raise capital, produce and market real products or services (highlight the key Trade Fair event held in mid-December every year in which students put their creativity and business acumen into action by launching their products or services in the real marketplace), keep records, conduct shareholders' meetings, and liquidate at the end of the program.
