Support students in designing and manufacturing a yo-yo, consisting of two injection-molded parts and one thermoformed part. Assist with CAD and CAM using Fusion 360 and provide guidance throughout the manufacturing process, including operation of the HASS CNC mill and thermoformer.

Designed stretchable metal interconnects and biodegradable capsules using SolidWorks and Fusion360. Utilized laser systems to produce flexible electrode arrays to increase fabrication efficiency and decrease cost. Additionally, performed impedance and biodegradation testing of molybdenum electrodes.

Improved the design of a microfluidic chip and developed jigs to enhance the reproducibility of the fabrication process. Created experimental procedures to investigate the impact of a DC field on the electrophoretic deposition of particles and E. coli. My contributions were recognized with nominations for the 2023 Outstanding Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program Student Award.

Worked collaboratively to design and manufacture an RC plane for the annual AIAA DBF Competition.

Worked on the mechanical design of the inverter to enable natural convection cooling and address electromagnetic interference (EMI) considerations. Conducted finite element analysis (FEA) simulations on a multi-body snap-fit design using SolidWorks to ensure its reliability. Developed detailed mechanical drawings for the inverter and micro-inverter prototypes using SolidWorks.

Helped design a nose cone coupler in SolidWorks and manufacture it using a lathe and mill. Earned Level 1 High Power Rocket certification from the National Association of Rocketry.

Designed and prototyped Maker projects for K-12 educators using laser cutters, 3D printers, and vinyl cutters, aligning these projects with teachers' learning objectives to provide innovative teaching tools. Assembled an Ender 3D printer and developed basic training materials to assist teachers in utilizing this technology effectively.

Advanced the NgdroidApp game engine by implementing a screen scaling function and adding diverse font options, available on GitHub (@oykuerus). Developed games in Java and C++ using Android Studio with this engine and also instructed middle and high school students in Java programming, fostering their foundational coding skills.
