My role as a Clinical Team Leader is to assist the ward manager in team leading and monitoring the team, so this can be done by supervising nurses, healthcare assistants by taking an active role in developing their knowledge and practice in how they provide effective patient care and meeting other tasks , by monitoring mandatory training or additional training to meet their personal development. Maintaining the security and safety of staff and patients so that could be the maintenance of a safe and working environment for staff, reporting and incidents or issues that may put the ward in jeopardy. Contributing ideas to the development of the ward. Deputising for the ward manager when there not around by ensuring that the trusts policies and procedures are implemented. And monitoring the teams performance via clinical audits and patient surveys
