Human Resources Generalist
Working, living, and breathing on a 320' vessel with every single one of your co-workers has taught me invaluable lessons. As their only HR coordinator on the vessel, my top priority is to ensure that all team members feel safe and that I am a trusty worthy outlet. Clear communication channels are always in tact with all HR co-workers on land. There is only so many hours in the day to fish, therefore it is pertinent to ensure that the right and effective leaders are in place to make every department run efficiently and smoothly.• Worked in a diverse environment with employees/staff of multiple nationalities on a 300-foot processing vessel. • Completed work under demanding and strict schedule of 12-16 hour work days, 7 days a week. • Initiated successful workforce planning, job realignment, employee involvement, and formulated, organized and monitored inter-connected projects. • Collaborated with leads and foreman’s to ensure department leadership and development. • Organized team-building activities for 200+ employees. • Worked with staff managers and Human Resources to manage personnel and staffing issues.
