It is amazing where life can take us when we take the opportunity to step out of our comfort zone and follow our true calling!!! I am excited to have had the time to invest in my certifications for intuitive life coaching and reiki energy healing since March of 2020. My colleagues and their instructions helped me to succeed there! I spent 5 years with Starboard and I can say, I learned enormously about working in a fast paced corporate and global company environment. I was able to build a position from the ground up to what it came to be a coordinator for the trunk shows department that didn’t exist prior to my arrival. The trial and error process and my colleagues is what helped me to build the position and make it my own. I enjoyed the challenge, as I did the same in the previous company (Diageo) before this.

Fine Jewelry Trunk Shows Coordinator
*Created and developed this position from the ground up and implemented new systems for the role with the help of existing employees and managers, as this was not a permanent position yet when I was hired, since the trunk show department had just been implemented. *Prepared and ensured smooth communication through a pre-alert for incoming fine jewelry trunk shows to 7 cruise lines, which included over 80 cruise ships worldwide, for 300+ events per month. *Planned, prepared & initiated merchandise off-loads with the cruise ships and all pertaining personnel, and acted as the liaison between the cruise ships, vendors and brokers throughout the whole off-load process, making it a smooth and timely process. *Initiated problem solving whenever issues arose with trunk shows, off-loads, sales reports, vendors and the general/assistant store managers on the ships, in order to ensure accuracy and resolve issues quickly, before getting out of hand. *Facilitated consistent communication with the fine jewelry vendors, brokers, district managers, cruise line directors, other corporate personnel and general/assistant store managers in the gift shops aboard the ships, in order to ensure timely responses to emergency questions and make sure operations went as planned and were carried out in a timely manner. *For one of the vendors, $40k was missing from their sales, and I initiated in depth research and acquisition of the missing sales in a two week segment, and the vendor was paid accordingly in one lump sum, upon agreement with the department’s manager.
