Adalberto Vilela holds a PhD from the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) of ETH Zurich (2018). He graduated from the School of Architecture of the University of Brasília (2003), Brazil, with a master's degree (2011) at the same institution. His research focuses on the production processes of architecture, construction history, material culture, and development of building prefabrication, with special emphasis on the work of the architect João Filgueiras Lima, Lelé. Ongoing investigations include the role of drawing in architectural education and its connections with the built environment. In addition to some book chapters, articles in scientific journals, papers in academic events, he is the author of A casa na obra de João Filgueiras Lima, Lelé (EdUnB, 2017). Currently, Adalberto Vilela is a faculty member of the City and Heritage Program (PPGAU/UFU) at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, where he heads, since 2022, the Architectural Design and Urban Planning Laboratory (LAPEX/UFU).
