I have extensive experience in sales and services to Icelandic and international companies through my time in the transportation sector. I also managed to get a holistic view of that sector in Iceland through my job at a major Icelandic retailer where I was responsible for all logistics activities which meant I represented one of the biggest customers in the transportation sector in Iceland. It´s my feeling that this experience has deepened my understanding of sales management and how to develop business relationships.I seek to apply both precision and discipline in my work but not inflexibility just for the sake of that. During my employment at Samskip I experienced a higher degree of professionalism and discipline in my account and project management for both Alcoa and Bechtel than I had previously experienced. This is an experience I regularly revisit and use when evaluating situations and in decision making. I am ambitious and unafraid to take initiative and I believe I have such characteristics that when in tough situations, I step forward to lead. I speak and write good Icelandic and the same applies to English. I am also confident in Scandinavian languages. I would describe myself as being generally competent with technology and I have good knowledge of most Microsoft Office programs.I am a very independent person and I don´t need much handholding, yet I am team player and in a good team is where I enjoy myself the most. Good teamwork and team spirit is something that excites me and I feed off.For me a job is like competing in sports, it´s about achieving good results, sustainable results.
