As an Employment Advisor at Reed in Partnership for nearly three years, I support individuals in the North East with health conditions to prepare for employment. My role involves analysing participants’ journeys, identifying barriers, and devising strategies to overcome them. I collaborate with businesses to address health and financial challenges, facilitate work experience, and provide training opportunities.Previously, I served as a peer-link support worker, aiding young dads in research projects and helping young men become economically active. My work on the “Diverse Dads Project” and service mapping in the North East focused on supporting men from diverse backgrounds. In my five years as a Youth Worker in Southwick, I engaged with disadvantaged young people, organized community events like the annual illuminations, and represented the city at the Essen youth exchange. My diverse experiences have equipped me to foster healthier lifestyles and positive outcomes.
