Design and consulting work on various consumer touchscreen products, interactive kiosks, interactive retail installations and digital signage projects for AMEX, Novell, Washington Mutual and various start-ups.Design for consumer touchscreens includes vapor deposited p-cap screens (the same tech in the iphone), design for interactive kiosks includes wire-based p-caps (larger seamless glass touchscreens) and complicated cash-handling self-service systems.

Responsibility included all phases of the design process from initial client contact and pitches through conceptual development and oversight of manufacturing, production and deployment.Design work included incremental improvement of the standard kiosk line, extension of the brand product strategy and design of completely new custom kiosk products.Managed the transition of production from Germany to U.S. contract manufacturer. Developed unique, new rapid cash management machine (an enhanced ATM). Much of the work focussed on creation of a brand identity, integration of many technological components (biometric camera, touchscreen etc) and unification of the user interface.• Responsibilities included creating project briefs, setting design goals, timelines and review process.• Scope of role included general project management, management of outside contractors and vendors and design of the product.• Design work included straight-up I.D. work, physical interface design, and branding.• Additional projects included c-store banking environments which served as a testbed for new products and services to be rolled into the core ATM product.

As Senior Fixture Designer responsibility included conceptual design, manufacturing and installation coordination for new fixture programs in Old Navy stores.Implemented roll out of new accessory shop to 500+ stores.Worked on new web-kiosk and other in-store branding elements for roll-out to new stores in 2000.Created presentation materials for video and print.
