Sgurr Wind are an exciting new company based in the uk and working throughout Europe carrying out all aspects of wind turbine maintenance. I joined Sgurr wind at the beginning of the 2019 wind season and headed out to a project in Norway fitting the Polytech ELLE leading edge protection system at a large Enercon site as well as carrying out blade maintenance and repair, tower painting and sealing of the nacelles. I am currently still based on this project and thoroughly enjoying it.

Rope access Sverige are a rope access company based in Sweden working almost exclusively within the wind industry. I began working at the beginning of 2018 carrying out blade repair work on multiple Enercon sites throughout Sweden, Finland and Norway using Tractel blade platforms and Rope Access. Over the winter between 2018 and 2019 I was based on a project in Germany carrying out on going concrete inspection work on the towers of 160m Enercon turbines. I worked for QTS for a number of years as a rope access technician working on various geotechnical projects throughout the UK mostly on the railway. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working for QTS working within large teams of guys and learned valuable skills which I still use today.
