I’ve always been pretty self motivated and driven, the negative side of that drive and determination means I’m quite tightly wound. I can’t help but work and the arrival of my son hasn’t helped. If anything all it has done is increased the number of hours per day I’m awake in order to carry out work. I wouldn’t say I’m in my line of work for the “thrill of the chase” I certainly used to enjoy “the hunt” for a deal more then I do now, but as the years have gone on I’ve found myself moving away from the ‘magnet’ persona and heading towards the ‘maker’. I prefer to find solutions to a problem. And if one doesn’t exist, create it. Today from a 5 minute conversation and a new idea about how we could change a process I created that process and a new web app to accompany the process. By creating solutions quicker and effectively to problems you tend to find you spend like time just talking about them. That’s what I enjoy.
