Previously I worked as the Assistant Mortuary and Bereavement Services Manager at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust. My responsibilities included ensuring the safe and hygienic running of the Mortuary, providing a Post Mortem service for the Hospital and Bedfordshire Coroner’s Office, implementing and auditing the ISO 9001:2015 standards within the department and I was also instrumental in the rolling out of their Mortuary and Bereavement Services Database.Prior to that I was the Lead Technical Assistant at the Evelyn Cambridge Surgical Training Centre, where I was responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Surgical Training Centre, maintaining documentation and audit system, ensuring HTA compliance, responsibility for the procurement, preparation and disposal of all specimens required for surgical training courses and liaising with clients and to ensure the smooth and successful running of surgical training courses.In addition to gaining extensive experience in all aspects of post mortem work, I also have developed skills in customer service, healthcare management, technical training, quality management and project management.In my spare time I try my best to be a runner, drink too much coffee and enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter.
