Continuing on with the work done with VMware Carbon Black, along with executing key migration work for merging of components from VMware Carbon Black into Broadcom and Symantec software teams in the Enterprise Security Group.

As a member of the Carbon Black Security Business Unit at VMware, I develop and maintain components of the Windows endpoint sensor: from the minifilter driver and usermode application to supporting other developers with build toolchains. For some more breakdown:- Parallelized existing serial Jenkins pipelines to greatly improve turn-around time for automation-compiled libraries- Utilized conan and jenkins to upgrade, maintain, and migrate thirdparty components to reduce vulnerabilities and potential crashes of the Windows sensor- Debugged both usermode and kernelmode components through WinDbg- Implemented new feature-sets using C++ and Windows APIs to improve security efficacy- Upgraded existing Visual Studio build toolchains from Visual Studio 2015 -> 2017 -> 2019 and kernel driver components from WDK8.0 -> WDK10.0

As a member of the Calibre QA infrastructure team I supported over 100 QA engineers daily through contributions to an internal test harness tool used to test the efficacy of the Calibre product:- Utilized TCL/TK, Perl, and Bash to implement new features and address user issues within the test harness- Developed a regression test suite for the product with over 300 tests- Executed multiple refactorings which addressed user-facing issues and led to more-readable code- Architected and developed a multi-threaded daemon to refactor decaying code and to support a new GUI testing feature- Optimized the application experience for users to reduce down-time

As a committee chair I improved my skills by leading several conferences, helping to set-up the venues, helping with management of the club at the school level and at the state level, and by putting the students through a test type system to determine whether they could participate or not.
