I am a 2020 Computer Science graduate of Missouri S&T. In 2021, I briefly attended graduate school at the same University, where I took a part time job as a Graduate Teaching Assistant teaching intro to C++. It was then that I discovered a passion for teaching, motivating, and inspiring others. At S&T, I was best known for my ability to connect with and engage with students, keeping classes fun and engaging for them, and most of all, a 6 month long series of side-quests I gave them which required them to use skills they had learned both inside and outside of class to advance. Breaking through the comfort zone, and discovering new potential is what I'm all about. After I left Missouri S&T, I started working as a Data Scientist for Spectrum as a contractor. During my year there, I learned a lot about the world of big data and efficiency, but most importantly I learned how to effectively learn new skills. Within a few weeks, I was proficient in Apache Nifi, a data transformation tool that was previously unknown to me, and it is awesome. One thing I love to do in my free time is factory simulation games. Since I was a child, I've always had a weird fascination with math and efficiency. I love keeping things tightly organized, and keeping my machines working at the exact ratios they need to to produce optimal outputs. My factory games have been dubbed "Homework: The Game" by my friends, and I wouldn't have it any other way.Another activity I love to keep involved in is theater. In college, I starred in, worked tech for, wrote, and directed a wide range of pieces from a wide range of genres. Acting was my favorite role, as since I was 16, I've always loved speaking in front of a crowd. I have not had as much success finding roles since I left college, but I'm still looking to get myself out there! Please feel free to reach out! I'm always looking forward to insightful conversations.
