Was one of ten students accepted out of several hundred applicants in a highly competitive Undergraduate Research Program that allows students to excel and go above and beyond the classroom in the participants specific field while further advancing their knowledge and skill set. Our work was done on our Student managed Investment Fund (SMIF) which manages over a quarter of a million dollars of the school's endowment but does not include the over $85k that we have given back to investors. Our research was on how a group of undergraduate students have been able to not only outperform the market but most professionally managed funds consistently over the last ten years.Our research achieved great breadth and depth, covering not only fundamental, technical, quantitative analysis of the three major indices, sectors and individual equities but also the psychological look into behavioral finance and the impact its had on our fund, the market and individual people. We were able to go so far as to break it down into people's age, country of origin, even the differences between our Westchester and NYC campus.o Created and performed financial models on Pace University endowment fund portfolio as well as S&P 500 and other benchmarks. o Performed selection vs. allocation analysis of school portfolio vs. S&P 500 in order to understand the fund’s performance over the last ten years.o Performed fundamental, technical and quantitative analysis on our portfolio as well our individual positions and various industry sectors.o Market research on our positions as well as sectors that comprised our portfolio and S&P 500.o Compiled market and investor sentiment, created a survey to depict the role of behavioral finance and the influence it had on the portfolio as a whole as well as the differences between New York City and Westchester Campuses.
