Managed the Electrical Engineering group for the Ion Platform. This group consisted of 2 firmware (FPGA developers), and 3 PCBA hardware engineers. Led the team through global supply chain shortages, multiple iterations on the product, RMA support, manufacturing improvement efforts (pre-programming parts, ICT testing, Flying-probe testing), and new product development projects and investigations.

Continued working on the Ion Endoluminal System. During this time I was in charge of ensuring EMC compliance of the robot per IEC 60601-1-2. The product launched during this time, and I developed updated versions of a variety of PCBAs for improved robustness, manufacturability, and added functionality (new camera).

Designed PCBAs for medical robotic application (Ion Endoluminal System). The PCBAs included Xilinx FPGA processors, memory interfaces, multi-gigabit serial links, motor drive circuits, various sensors (hall, force, inductance), user interface LEDs, and CF rated patient contact camera interface designs. Some designs also had requirements for harsh environments used for the sterilization of the PCBAs. This led to extensive work on PCBA preparation (cleaning, plasma treatments, surface energy testing) for conformal coating. Also created risk management, requirements, and design verification documents per ISO 13485.

I work in the Manufacturing Engineering group at Sirona Dental. We make high speed intraoral digital X-Ray sensors. My responsibilities in this role vary based on the phase of different products that we make.
