I have taught C121 and C125 labs. I am in charge of a group of students. I handle all grades and day to day operations in the lab. I also make sure that the students know what is happening in lab and make sure they are following correct procedure and safety guidelines.

I teach students in a group setting. The class is a collaborative learning experience. Through redirecting and fun activities, I help students better understand chemistry and the lessons. Students work in groups on different problem sets. They must rely on each other to solve the problems. I help facilitate this.

I meet with students in a one on one setting in order to make sure they are on the right track. Normally, the students have been flagged for probation or it is required that they meet with me as part of their scholarship. In addition, I tend the desk and make sure students are helped and receive proper assistance.

I taught students in a group setting and assisted them in Math that ranged from addition and multiplication to understanding Algebra II. Students came from diverse backgrounds and were often students going back to school. The age of my students ranged from early 20's all the way to people in their 50's and 60's. In addition, I sometimes subbed for teachers if they were not able to come into work.

I observed and aided in the research of Dr. Mythily Srinivasan. My work was part of the LHSI internship through IUPUI. Dr. Srinivasan's research focuses on chronic inflammation caused by diseases such as cancer and multiple sclerosis.I aided in sample preparation and analysis as well as maintaining the appearance of the lab.
