Working as a senior leader within Life Technology, I’m responsible for leading the ideation, creation and delivery of best in class digital pre-sales and sales products. Working with my Engineering Managers, Digital Product Managers and Owners along with multiple engineering teams, I’m responsible for a large scale transformation within my area from legacy technologies and delivery methods into highly effective multi methodology agile teams that come together using the Safe Framework. Reskilled, my teams leverage the latest development and delivery techniques within cloud and microservice API architecture to iterate on our digital products.

Reporting to a Senior Manager/Designate – I manage the day to day running of one or more development teams, I have managed up to 27 people and four teams at any one time so far during this position. This role includes a very wide variation of duties from standard admin management such as time management and invoicing to managing the teams delivery and ensuring our customers needs are always exceeded in terms of project delivery, quality, maintainability and affordability.

I worked both individually, and as part of a team to develop both innovative and boutique software solutions. I completed a large number of high profile projects for many large UK and International Clients such as Phoenix Natural Gas, Legal & General, Allied Dunbar and the NHS.The majority of the systems worked on have been large-scale Client Server systems, most Notably the current market leading clinical system, Tomcat.I have gained excellent technical knowledge whilst working in this company and have been taught by arguably some of the best Delphi Developers on the island.
