I'm often asked why I made the transition from nursing to real estate. It's actually not as big a departure as you might think. Perhaps the more obvious parallel is the need to anticipate and eliminate problems before they arise, monitoring the status of transactions and those involved, just as I would the ongoing status of a patient. As a nurse I worked in pediatric critical care, and emergency medicine, and it was at times intense. Sure, real estate doesn't necessarily rise to those most intense experiences I had over my 10 years of nursing, but it remains a very real, sometimes raw, and emotional experience to purchase and or sell a home. The same bedside manner, composure, and empathy that led me to excel as a nurse, I bring to my clients as we navigate transactions, identify needs, and mitigate and avoid obstacles along the way, and I love sharing the real estate experience and being an advocate to help my clients reach their goals.
