This position has been created in order to further that relationship as we continue to develop this and other products, particularly where there is a strong focus on tribological performance.
Technical lead in the development of orthopaedic medical devices. Working with both industrial customers to further develop their devices and also carrying out entire development programmes internally. Carrying out medical device design to ISO 13485 and QSR. Working as part of a team to develop internal quality and regulatory systems to enable device design and development with the required controls. Managing external relationships to deliver device testing into the development programme.
Invibio are a world leading biomaterial solutions provider, supplying value added service to leading medical device manufacturers in order to improve designs and reduce time to market.Working in the technology team, I am assisting with the development of the orthopaedic device application research and development, driving technical independent and collaborative projects for improved orthopaedic device performance of PEEK and PEEK-carbon composites.
Research with an industrial view. During this post I worked with an industrial collaborator to provide computational and experimental research expertise for their engineering and design teams. Working within the orthopaedic device market I have been involved in the development of many new and innovative products as well as assisting in data creation for some pre-existing and implanted devices.
