Within the Associate Engineer role, it is my job to learn new processes and develop my technical understanding to achieve the goal of becoming a confident and qualified Automation Engineer at Insight. A large part of my new role will utilise my problem-solving skills to understand development issues and discover potential fixes for them. I will also spend time watching and learning common practices and processes used by each member of the team. I need to continue to be naturally curios and look for any opportunity to improve my knowledge.

My role within St Teresa’s is to support and encourage all children and young people in accessing the school curriculum. To do this, I run extra sessions (for high and low achievers) in small groups and provide direct support in the classroom for both teacher and student however needed.

During my time with YMCA I worked at Camp Williams, a summer camp for children and young people aged 8-15. My role there was Camp Leader of the game design skill clinic, this means I was responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating a program of five 40–50-minute sessions on teaching fundamental game design skills. These sessions were provided to any child or young person that attended the camp and this included young people with some additional needs such as ADHD, Autism and attachment needs. Outside of my sessions I was stationed with the Explorers group, this group included the 10-12 age range. Throughout the day it was my job to work with the other camp leaders to assist with and run various activities in my group such as dodge ball, Gaga ball and swimming. I also assisted in preparing a performance for the final day when we run an evening activity called campfire, this is an opportunity to share what the children have been doing with their parents/carers and get them involved in the fun of camp too.

As the Retail Change Customer Assistant for the Nottingham Riverside store, it is my responsibility to ensure that all new range reviews being introduced are ready for implementation by the shop floor team by a set date. This requires a full understanding on why a review of a section is taking place and what changes are happening to each area through careful reading of instructional packs, planograms and additional product/review information. Once I understand this, it is also my job relay this information to the team implementing review and offer help and advice where needed. During reviews, I catch with the teams to ensure they are on target and order any missing pieces of a review. Upon completion I walk round with the store manager and sign off all completed reviews before photographing and sharing our teams great work with the wider company.
