Patent Preparation and Prosecution • Counsel numerous clients of various corporate sizes on all aspects of patent prosecution, enforcement and patent portfolio management and strategy, with extensive and daily client interaction• Conduct invention disclosure meetings, prior art searches, assess and render patentability opinions; assist in the preparation of clearance letters and infringement opinions for corporate clients.• Prepare and draft patent applications in a variety of technical fields, with a primary focus on biotechnology and a secondary focus on computer peripheral and storage devices, and mobile security devices. • Prosecute patent applications including draft amendments and responses, conduct examiner interviews, draft and file appeal briefs, supervise and review draft responses of junior associate.• Prepare and prosecute international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty; communicate and coordinate patent filings and strategy with foreign associates in multiple jurisdictions with focus on the European Patent Office. • Manage firm portfolio of United States National Phase applications under the Patent Coordinate Treaty; communicate weekly with foreign associates in Europe to formulate strategy for preliminary amendments and prosecution.Trademark Preparation and Prosecution• Counsel clients on all aspects of US trademark registration including trademark acquisition and clearance through registration and maintenance; draft, file and prosecute trademark applications; draft ex parte appeals; prepare and defend cancellation and opposition proceedings with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.• Participate in resolution of domain name disputes, and Internet Cooperation for Assigned Names and Numbers proceedings; communicate with opposing counsel regarding settlement agreements and licensing; prepare cease and desist letters pertaining to infringement of client’s trademarks.

I took part in all aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks and copyrights, with a focus on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications and client counseling for both foreign and domestic clients.I possessed a wide range of experience in matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including drafting and prosecution of patents, conducting Examiner interviews and filing appeals with the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. My practice further included management of patent prosecution portfolios ranging from foreign corporations to small-sized clients.I also advised clients on all aspects of enforcement of their patent portfolio, along with providing litigation and technical support for patent infringement matters.
