Actions include:- Lead all Serious Incident Analysis such as Root Cause Analysis or other internal reviews.- Monitor all clinical incidents - System Administration of the Incident Reporting system (Riskman).- Monitoring and actioning all alerts and recalls.- Provide expert incident management advice to the health service.- Support and educate others relating to clinical governance and patient safety.- Ensure the effective implementation of national standards.

It is my duty to develop a framework to introduce Consumer facing decision aids surrounding various areas of maternity care. Using evidence based examples and international standards, clinical decision aids will complement the Queensland Birth Strategy aiming to improve outcomes for pregnant women across Queensland.

As a Clinician, I am responsible for providing triage services and coordinating intake and referral of clients. In addition, I engage in tele-counselling to de-escalate situations and conduct risk assessments. I am also tasked with ensuring efficient intake for clients requesting counselling, group or case management services. Furthermore, I coordinate the development, implementation and ongoing review of clinical policies and procedures. Aside from these, I liaise with the ADF, ex-service organisations and service providers to facilitate service provision.

It was my duty as a Principal Project Officer to assist in the development of a national project aimed at reducing the rate of preventable stillbirth. In order to ensure project success, I developed project plan, budgets, communication plan, measurement strategy and steering committee terms of reference. Maintaining an organised procedure, I led the implementation of a health improvement project involving all Queensland Health Hospital and Health Services. I also developed the implementation and evaluation plan for the National Stillbirth Action and Implementation Plan. With my strong interpersonal skills, I developed relationships with key stakeholders across the entire system to ensure successful implementation. Moreover, I served as member of the National Operational Committee for the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in Stillbirth.Key Achievements:• Successful implementation across nearly all process measures resulting in improved outcomes for pregnant women and their babies, without any negative effect on any other area of care.• Measurement strategy and associated dashboard have been adopted for national implementation.• Hosted 3 state-wide learning sessions bringing together all implementation teams from each hospital.• Presented on successes at several national and international conferences and forums.

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, I was responsible for performing mental health assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation within the community. Additionally, I cooperated with emergency services in order to ensure appropriate resolution of crisis or events. I also provided detailed crisis intervention plans, presentation management plans and behaviour support plans. Furthermore, I delivered mental health education to patients, their families and other health care professionals. In performing these duties, I utilised legislated powers responsibly to ensure least restrictive interventions.

As a Medical Sailor, I was responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care to all naval personnel both ashore and at sea. I also ensured the ship’s company had regular health checks and maintained health records.
