Senior Privacy Compliance Analyst
CurrentProcedural Implementation:The analyst position resides in the Privacy Office and oversees a wide range of compliance activities for an assigned business unit to assure operational and procedural compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain the Enterprise Privacy Policy and Procedures Manual, in addition, I conduct monitoring of activities to define gaps, contract reviews and detect potential risk areas regarding data transmissions and retention by 3rd party vendors and HIEs. My role tracks and monitors the business unit's corrective action plans resulting from regulatory audits or identified compliance deficiencies and serves as the key point of contact between the Compliance Department and the business units. Compliance and Privacy Duties:-Communicate new and revised laws and regulatory guidance that affect the business unit and interpret/summarize the requirements. Collaborate with the business unit to review, analyze and oversee regulatory implementation project plans, including communication and training, action plan deliverables and development/revision of policies and procedures. -Provide key guidance for new project and existing “gap analysis” for workflow process for safeguarding member data.-Provide expertise regarding data disclosure and transfer elements for HIPAA, Behavioral Health, and Sensitive Services matters to providers, brokers, and 3rd Party vendors prior to implementation. -Triage complex compliance issues, independently conducting internal/external research on topics, as needed. -Provide input to business unit in development of corrective action plans in response to identified deficiencies, track progress, and communicate status of corrective actions to the business unit and Compliance Department. -Project Lead for the implementation of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) across the Health Net Enterprise.
