As the Executive Director of Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, I've dedicated myself to enhancing the green culture of Toledo and Lucas County. My role involves forging meaningful collaborations with the City of Toledo, the Lucas County Solid Waste Management District, and a diverse network of organizations to promote environmental sustainability and community engagement. My leadership has steered the organization towards notable achievements in waste reduction, recycling, and environmental education, impacting both youth and adults significantly.My professional journey spans across various influential roles, including strategic positions at the Toledo Zoo, Defiance College, and numerous environmental education facilities. This varied experience has equipped me with a robust skill set that encompasses strategic planning, event management, program development, public speaking, and grant writing. Central to my ethos is the belief in continuous personal and professional growth. This belief is underscored by my academic background in Ecology, supplemented by post-graduate coursework in Leadership Studies, and my active engagement in leadership roles within the Toledo-Lucas County Sustainability Commission, the Rotary Club of Toledo, and beyond.I am a proactive member of my community, holding positions on the City of Perrysburg Board for Recycling and Litter Prevention and certifying as a Zero Waste Associate through Zero Waste USA. My recent participation in the Urban Nature-Based Climate Solutions Accelerator program highlights my commitment to innovative environmental solutions.My career has afforded me the opportunity to manage and transform properties ranging from 200 to 600 acres, incorporating sports fields, educational facilities, and recreation areas. I have successfully navigated the complexities of property administration, including site maintenance, capital planning, and budget management, while coordinating across multiple departments to ensure operational excellence.My drive stems from a passion for empowering others, fostering strong communities, and ensuring the economic vitality of the organizations I've been part of.
