Since I was a kid, I've always gravitated towards electronics. I'll never forget getting the Gameboy Color for my 5th birthday. Ever since then, those devices and games helped shape who I am today. In the digital world of video games I would go on adventures, solve puzzles, fix broken things, be creative, come up with strategies and be competitive. It was also great brain storming with my fellow gamers on how we can achieve our goals together. While all of this was mostly for fun, I soon realized that I was building qualities that translate to the real world.With over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, I am a passionate and skilled EDI Analyst at OrthoVirginia, a leading orthopedic practice in the region. I have an Epic Bridges Certification and a strong expertise in Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and SAP Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), which enable me to efficiently and accurately exchange data between various healthcare systems and platforms. I have contributed to multiple projects involving data mapping, testing, troubleshooting, and validation, as well as developing and maintaining documentation and standards. I have also supported the training and development of other EDI analysts and staff, as well as the communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. My mission is to leverage my technical and analytical skills to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery and patient care, while also learning and growing as a professional in this dynamic and evolving field.When I’m not at work - I love giving back to my community and others where I can. I personally believe we all have the power to make a positive impact in the world and help one another. Which is why I chose my career to be involved in both technology and lending a hand to those who need it.I'm thankful to god for everything in my life and take each day as an opportunity to grow and become a better version of myself.
