Acting as a mentor for an Intern, employed in conjunction with GLA & VRU. Providing support on during the 12 month programmes which crosses two different teams.

I am responsible for a strong and effective partnership between CBs and the RFU to support and grow the Community game at a regional and local level. I act as the conduit between the two, and ensure CBs access the support needed to deliver their core and devolved activities, whilst connecting the cross-functional area delivery team to ensure a joined-up approach between CBs and the RFU to support clubs. Within this role I have shown an ability to; • Build and maintain relationships with Constituent Bodies, volunteers, and stakeholders.• Assist & support the CBs, working with them throughout the year to monitor and evaluate progress against objectives, summarising delivery plans to identify national priorities. This includes reviewing and sharing national insight, such as the Age Grade Affiliation and Match Completion data, and considering local needs. • Audit and review the delivery of Devolved Responsibilities, including Safeguarding, Discipline and Competitions.• Facilitate area and nationwide meetings to surface issues and challenges, as well as discuss solutions and successes.• Develop the engagement strategy to keep stakeholders informed and engaged, and to identify and promote ways of working that support our strategic objectives.• Work with CBs to identify areas of support/training required to deliver core activities and devolved responsibilities, embedding any national recommendations and local interventions required following the audit review.• Work across local and national RFU teams to deliver volunteer development opportunities and support CBs with their recruitment & retention of volunteers. • Gather local insights and intelligence to inform the development of central programs.• Actively collaborate with colleagues to minimizing duplication of effort and contribute to the delivery of the strategic plan.• Optimise the use of an online CB Portal, so that CBs can access the resources they need when required.

In this role, I work with the Forum Chair, the Strategy Team and Senior Leaders from across the business who are responsible for the delivery of the strategy, core activity and associated projects.

Manager of the strategic and operational delivery of Kids First, centered on player retention and transition. Work with those within clubs and schools to develop and share the ways in which we can provide safe and enjoyable experiences for young people.

Developing and delivering local plans to grow the volunteer base, increase specific development opportunities and ensure there are wide spread and varied opportunities to participate in all formats of rugby union.

Undertake targeted delivery to ensure there are opportunities to for all to experience the game. Help clubs to strengthen rugby in their local community, build capacity and focus on the quality of experience of players, supporters and volunteers.
