As a member of the Professional Services team my role is to deliver high-quality Unified Communications projects and support to our clients. My goal is to deploy a suite of communication tools that our clients can utilize to improve their business processes. We deploy the latest solutions from Cisco including VoIP, Unified Messaging, IM & Presence, Video Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Contact Center, Desktop and Integrated Faxing, Call Recording, Softphone, Single Number Reach, Speech-enabled dialing, and Systems Monitoring & Management.

Pre-sales discovery and design for Cisco Network and Unified Communications technologies. Project scoping, implementation, and support.

- Design, deploy, and support a Cisco Unified Communications environment. Deployed over 4000 handsets to 24 Meredith locations in the last 5 years. Additionally, support many peripheral applications and devices that connect to or enhance CUCM. - Design, deploy, and support Cisco Telepresence within Meredith Corporation. Support C-series, SX, and EX endpoints as well as Jabber for Telepresence. VCS-C, VCS-E, and TMS software for added capabilities.- Design, deploy, and support LAN & WAN technologies utilizing industry best practices and standards. Not limited to: Access edge, data center core, QoS, L2/L3 high-availability techniques and performance monitoring.- Evaluate and/or implement emerging technologies such as Cisco Jabber, Cisco Presence, Webex, Webex Connect, AT&T Connect, Bluejeans, Microsoft Lync/OCS Voice, Exchange UM, and 3rd party SIP devices.

Implemented and supported network and telecommunication systems from a variety of vendors including Cisco, Nortel, Shoretel, Juniper, Adtran and Foundry. Assisted sales team in product demonstrations and proof of concepts.

Install internet, telephony, and digital cable services for residential and small business accounts. Responsible for system wiring from the pedestal/pole to the end devices. Configure computer to use a LAN including network card installation.

One of the best decisions of my life was to enroll in the Telecommunications program at DMACC West Campus. I had a knack for technology and quite a bit of entry-level hands on telecom experience. My career, however, was headed nowhere fast. The Telecom program at DMACC provided the hands on networking and telecom experience to allow me to hit the ground running with my future employer.
