As an Amazon delivery driver, it was my job to perform multi-drop deliveries to customers in many different locations. Being a delivery driver we were the face of Amazon so it was imperative that I provided good customer service at all times. I had to use location devices to locate parcels in the warehouse, load them into the back of my van before planning the best routes to make sure parcels were delivered efficiently and on time. We had to work as a team during the busy Christmas period to make sure all vans were loaded correctly, as well as solo working whilst out on the road. In addition to this I had to make sure I kept the van in a presentable manor. Additionally this role also granted me the opportunity to train new drivers up on the delivery process, an opportunity of leadership and mentoring which I thrived in.

As a member of a small team in a medium sized supermarket it was our responsibility to make sure the supermarket was kept clean, tidy and safe for customers and staff. As a team we had set daily tasks that needed to be completed within short timelines, meaning teamwork was essential. We used specialist cleaning tools as well as chemicals so adhering to COSHH standard was routine.

Working in a candidate liaison role, I independently planned meetings, journeys and communications with clients to attain the necessary documentation required from them to progress their agency work. I consistently demonstrated friendly and informative communication skills with clients through both face-to-face in person and through the means of email and telephone. Other responsibilities included making scans of clients’ documents and uploading them to the head office, and various other general admin duties.
