I am currently working as a Scientist Water Ecologist II in the Bureau of Water Systems Oversight (BWSO) and have earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, with a concentration in Pollution Control, from the College of Engineering at University of Delaware in May 2016. Through my work experience and undergraduate coursework, I have accumulated several skills that I believe will allow me to make a valuable contribution to Environmental Science field. These skills include field sampling, recording and analyzing data, as well as producing technically written scientific reports. Additionally, my time as a Water Ecologist has provided me with a strong understanding for communicating with and educating the public. Specifically, communicating with building owners and stakeholders regarding cooling tower compliance and best industry practices to eliminate environmental health hazard conditions. As a former student athlete of the University of Delaware Men’s Volleyball Club, I have acquired excellent skills in team collaboration as well as time management. My competitive nature and eagerness to learn has taught me how to overcome adversity and to better myself. I believe an opportunity focused on water resources and water quality, groundwater remediation, Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments would be ideal in furthering my career as an Environmental Scientist.
