In my guise as Partner, Head of Web Design and Graphic Designer within Want Creative I have experienced most aspects of the design & marketing industry. I regularly meet new clients attending networking events or through recommendations from previous clients. Want Creative’s aim is to give the clients a full journey in their design experience with us, from concept ideas to the end product, and even maintaining and offering web and email support, cultivating a strong ongoing relationship with the clients. With the relationships I attain I am able to ascertain our clients design needs and can complete briefs within tight deadlines, whilst still meeting the budgets and branding guidelines set by the clients. I also manage a portfolio of various sized clients from small local businesses to large companies. In conjunction with this I also maintain the public image of the company through social media, and manage the financial aspects such as invoices and accounts. In addition I regularly source and liaise with printers and set up print ready artwork. I was very proud that Want Creative was runner-up in the Morley Business Awards 2015 “Start Up of the Year” award category.

I performed above and beyond what was expected of me in my position as a Sales Assistant and continued to show initiative as an integral part of the team. Within my role I was punctual, reliable and a hardworking team member, and had been entrusted with training new members of the team.

Whilst studying for my degree I undertook some freelance graphic and web design work for multiple clients. I provided them with a logo representing their business and a website to feature their products and services.

As Head of Web Design I would liaise with the clients directly to establish their web and graphic design needs. Additionally as part of the Birchcourt Design team I would work alongside other designers on major projects such as catalogues, as well as working independently maintaining the company’s website as well as ones belonging to their clients meeting briefs and deadlines efficiently. Within Birchcourt Design, I also managed the client inventory of stored goods & equipment, and the back-ups of all Birchcourt Design’s digital files.
