I have been working in the construction industry now for over 22 years and have dealt with several different aspects of the industry such as structural components (Joists, curved wall plates, etc) bespoke joinery (Staircases, furniture) and insulation requirements in floors and walls when robust details are specified to achieve Part E requirements. The Staircase and Floor Joist aspects are my main expertise. In regards to the staircase I have dealt with many companies over the years as well as one-off house builders / self-builds getting involved from very early stages of design both structurally and aesthetically ranging from standard 100 off replications to single bespoke curved timber products with value ranges of £200 to £500K+. The Joists: I have an extensive knowledge of engineered I joists and have been growing in knowledge now we deal with Metal Web/Eco Joists.
