About Adam Dunstan
A zero harm and business professional whose strengths include risk management, compliance, interpersonal skills, leadership and a desire to develop personally and professionally.I have extensive practical work experience including a two year internal Health, Safety, Environment and Training Cadetship in which I completed studies to a Certificate IV level with the University of Ballarat (now Federation University) as well as extensive business specific development goals. I am currently an integral part of the management team that supports our contracts on the East coast within a high risk industry including explosives manufacture, transport, storage and use.Prior to working within the Mining Industry I was a Supervisor for a vegetation management company that held contracts with electricity providers to maintain the power line corridors within Queensland. This involved the coordination and management of assets in remote areas and working to an allocated budget.I have also performed duties as a Business Manager for Birch, Carroll and Coyle (now Event Cinemas). This involved accountability for budgeting, forecasting, payroll, programming, maintenance, stock control, personnel and marketing requirements for my allocated site/s. The majority of my previous employment was within the Hospitality Industry (fourteen years) as a frontline Assistant Manager for both Hilton and Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG). In this position I was responsible for the day to day operations of Hotel outlets and their revenue streams. This was predominately a room division focus and included my appointment as the continuous improvement champion for Holiday Inn Cairns and a member of the rebranding project team of the Crowne Plaza in Surfers Paradise. I concluded my time with IHG by gaining experience working in Finance.
