My journey didn't start in the legal field. I began my career as a journalist, honing my skills by working with various newspapers. My days were filled with tight deadlines, article editing, collaboration with reporters, and dedicated efforts to enhance their writing. Little did I know back then how well this preparation would equip me for the rigors of law school and the legal profession.Now, my primary role is guiding clients through complex challenges. My diverse clientele has included real estate developers, homeowners, lenders, title companies, tech enterprises, utilities, and a wide array of others. Although my core expertise lies in real estate disputes and appellate law, my legal practice has delved into myriad kinds of disputes over the years.As a proud member of the firm's appellate practice group, I've had the privilege of practicing before both state and federal appellate courts. Before joining the firm, I served as a law clerk, first for Judge Scott M. Matheson, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and later for then-Chief Justice Christine M. Durham of the Utah Supreme Court.My academic journey led me to the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law, where I assumed the role of editor-in-chief at the Utah Law Review. My commitment to excellence earned me a coveted spot in the Order of the Coif, and I graduated among the top 5 percent of my class. Over the years, I've remained an active member of PB&L's Recruiting Committee and proudly served as its chair for several years.
