Profile bio

About Adam Eckert

I recently received my Master's of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois Springfield; my thesis topic was creating a Habitat Suitability Model for nesting Osprey in Illinois to aid in restoring Osprey populations in Illinois to self-sustaining levels. I am now looking for work in the Olympia, WA area with either the government (state or federal) or an environmental consulting firm. I'm interested in combining ecology with technology and exploring how GIS can enhance ecological studies. I'm particularly interested in avian ecology (especially birds of prey), fire science/ecology, and the application of GIS and remote sensing technologies. I would enjoy a career where I can excel in applying my skills and interests to solving the critical environmental challenges facing my generation.

Listed skills include Field Work, Biology, Research, Teaching, and 22 others.
