Diversity and Equality Law Division: Worked on preparing the National LGBTI Strategy as well as part of the team working on the Youth LGBTI Strategy (DCYA) & Gender Recognition Act Review (DEASP).Worked on the ratification of the UN CRPD (March 2018) and on projects such as the Migrant Integration Strategy, National Strategy for Women and Girls, International Human Rights and UN reporting, such as CEDAW (Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women) and the UN UPR.Represented Ireland at the EU FRA (Fundamental Rights Agency) and Council of Europe (CAHROM) as well as other international obligations.

Upon completion of the Statistics postgrad and the successful establishment of State Boards, I was re-assigned to Data Analysis. My role here is to examine the reporting and statistical outputs of the Public Appointments Service and improve the quality of data produced.

Working on the new State Boards Appointment process. My role involves overseeing the day to day running of vacancies on State Boards, This includes putting together assessment panels, liaising with Department's on forthcoming vacancies, drafting board member role specifications with agencies (NTMA, NewEra, IBTS, Abbey Theatre, etc) and representing the PAS on many of the assessment panels to ensure a consensus emerges. The role involves communicating with departments, agencies, independent assessors and applicants.

Three years working with the NPWS compensating turf cutters who gave up the practice on designated protected areas. Three further years were spent in Building Standards, as Secretary to the Building Regulations Advisory Body as well as working on the registration of Architects & Surveyors and Priory Hall. My final two years here I worked in pensions, preparing the Department's records for transfer to the new HR Shared Service entity.

Here I worked in I.T. where I built the Department of Communications Intranet site within weeks of joining. I later moved to the Communications area, working to deliver broadband through the MANs (Metropolitan Area Networks) and with special responsibility for North/South fibre connectivity & INTERREG. I contributed to North/South working groups under INTERREG, InterTradeIreland and a Donegal taskforce.I co-ordinated the Department's Broadband Demand survey, distilling the responses and proeparing an innovative & creative response paper, which was used as the basis for Minister Dempsey's 2006 keynote Broadband Demand speech. I also conceptualised and scripted a Broadband Awareness TV Campaign, explaining what broadband was, which aired from July 2006. I secured funding from Interreg, from the regulator and from IBEC/TIF to fund the campaign which helped deliver higher broadband take up figures at a time when we lagged in take up tables.In addition, I was involved in the corporate governance of the Digital Hub (DHDA) as it moved out from the aftermath of MediaLabEurope's departure before moving on promotion to the NPWS.

I worked hear as HTML team lead and usability engineer, training other staff up in HTML coding and working on the more intricate HTML aspects of design of sites such as Halifax’s IF.com. In the aftermath of the 2001 dot.com bubble bursting, Vision downsized and I took up a job opening in Aspect software as an XTML./XHTML coder.

Joined Nua in 1999 after completing my City & Guilds in Web Authority, working for Ireland's then leading internet design company before a mooted change in business direction led me to re-evaluate its viability. My work here was in coding and some basic graphic design. I worked on websites for Guiness, Oracle, Local Ireland, GSM World, Adornis.com and many others.
