Reducing costs and complexity was a concern and was achieved by virtualizing the server environment and reducing the server physical space by half which reduced ongoing costs.

Securing both the computers in the classrooms as well as the networks was a major concern for Frontier School Division. By implementing new technology on the classroom computers I was able to secure them from internal as well as external attacks while reducing service calls to the information technology department which was important as travel between locations was typically by plane.I provided much needed security to schools that were constantly being attacked by building new firewalls from scratch for all schools within the organization to allow for a single common platform to both secure and monitor activity within the schools.
