Responsible for the building of over 200 AVID Media Composer video editing systems compliant to the customer's specifications. Building these systems includes compiling software, researching for compatibility and reporting on findings, plus working closely with other engineers and sales staff to build each system to suit the customer's needs. Systems are built for clients in episodic television, films, and reality television.Teaches two ACSR certification courses by AVID Technology for Media Composer (MC400) and NEXIS (NX423), and a two-day intensive course on training assistant editors and beginner customer service technicians for troubleshooting AVID editing systems. Prepares systems for troubleshooting practice, lectures, and other materials. Personally mentors each student one-on-one with training projects.
