As the Chief Analytics Officer and Director of Information Innovation & Insight at the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), I lead a team of data professionals who work with internal and external partners to produce and analyze data to better serve the employers, individuals, families, and communities of Texas. With over 10 years of experience in data analytics, evaluation, and business transformation in the government sector, I am passionate about using data to improve governmental program effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability.I am a national leader and a data evangelist in the education and workforce development system, working in collaboration with other states and federal agencies to advance the state of the art in the use of data to support decision-making, improved impact, strategic planning, and program integrity. I have skills in writing, product road mapping, and organizational alignment, and I leverage them to communicate and deliver timely, relevant, consistent, and actionable information to enable early and informed decision-making and to help transform TWC into an evidence-based learning organization.
