The VP of Development & IP maximizes the value of our lipid-based formulation technologies, products, and services. The Vice President of Development & IP plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and safeguarding intellectual assets for Disruption Labs, ensuring a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence, fostering an environment where groundbreaking ideas flourish. In addition to driving internal innovation, this position directly engages with clients, providing technical leadership and expertise to drive business development initiatives. The VP of Development & IP advances the commercialization of formulation technologies aligned with the company’s mission and objectives, while continuously optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

I manage the Water Lens laboratory team in Austin, Texas. I oversee the research and development of new products, improvements to existing ones, and software engineering. I am the primary authority for all matters concerning the implementation and operation of the Water Lens test kit. The technology I developed at Water Lens was featured in the November 2016 issue of the Journal of Petroleum Technology (excerpt attached).

Managed a team of researchers in the development of new water analysis assays from initial literature research and concept development, to small batch formulation and proof of concept, and finally to product finalization, QA, and QC.

Develop new chemical assays for the analysis of water. Software was also developed to translate raw data into reliable results.

Studied specific and non-specific binding of proteins to surfaces.
