Manager of the Cabinet Value Stream responsible for the pressing of raw steel parts, fabrication of refrigerator cabinets and thermoforming of plastic refrigerator liners. Oversee the duties of five salaried supervisors and 200 hourly employees.

Responsible for the Cabinet Value Stream production and operation. I ensure that all daily activities for the assigned production value stream are customer focused and performed in a manner consistent with achievement of the plant vision and its goals and objectives. Key decision maker and escalation point for value stream issues or decisions across the assigned shift. Collaborate with engineering resources and other support functions (materials, finance, etc) on short and long-term improvements to the production line. Has responsibility and accountability for an assigned area in the production facility, leading a team of 50 hourly employees across three support departments in the attainment of S.Q.D.C (safety, quality, delivery, and cost) goals and objectives Consistently ensures that area job responsibilities are promptly and efficiently carried out and nurtures a high level of teamwork and performance Accountable for lean activities and the execution of activities defined in that process while championing lean through daily coaching in lean tools and methodologies Has direct management responsibility in assigned area including employee relations, team building, performance management and professional development Demonstrated leadership through the development of Team Leaders in the area to help drive daily work and long-term improvements Assists in determining immediate and future manpower, tooling, and equipment requirements Ensure strict adherence to all Whirlpool manufacturing standards and methods.
