• Troubleshot and rewrote Matlab C MEX functions allowing the lab to upgrade to 64-bit operating systems and built C interfaces and libraries to drive expensive instrumentation that lost official software support when upgrading • Awarded a research grant via a submitted proposal and carried out optics research involving spatial light modulators, ultrafast diode lasers, CCD and streak cameras, GPIB and RS232 communications, image processing, and National Instruments API interfacing
