In this position, I perform full-stack Java application development on our internal insurance auditing software. I am working as the lead developer for the company’s initiative to automate, update, and standardize over 580 legal documents through the use of Apache POI and custom data injection integrations. In this role, I work as part of a much larger team in a hybrid work environment, working everyday alongside business analysts, quality assurance testers, and various business owners to identify and make the changes most desired by our heads of business and our users. We make use of the agile development cycle and standard business practices through daily scrum meetings, standard sprint cycles, and Jira project tracking service to keep the ever-growing codebase up to date and optimally designed.This role is a contract role through Solü Technology Partners.

During my internship, I had the opportunity to work on embedded system hardware code with Spotify API integrations. I applied the agile development cycle, focusing on keeping legacy systems up to date with modern API updates primarily in C++. Throughout the project, I embraced independent-driven work while maintaining close collaboration with a supervisor via a remote work environment.

As a swim instructor, I was able to lead groups of people and effectively engage in large-group communication activities. I worked with children ages 2 - 17 years old and adults. As a longstanding member of the team, I was entrusted with training new staff members to be able to effectively use these skills as well.
