I spent 31 years working for the Process Control group at US Steel Gary Works until I chose to retire in March 2020. After a short break, US Steel brought me back in as an independent contractor to do project work throughout the Iron and Steel Producing divisions. My area of expertise is in single/twin slab casting facilities along with the Level 2 casting quality and tracking models. Over the past 2 years, I started working with the chemistry and charging models in Iron Producing. I have worked in multiple OpenVMS environments mainly using Fortran 77 and DCL. I’ve spent 30+ years working with DEC, Compaq, and HP VAX, Alpha, and Itanium computers. I also have experience in several Microsoft Windows platforms.
