Involves use of de-identified health data used to baseline clinical practice and re evaluate new pathways. Extensive pathway redesign, SOP development, training and roll out of new technology. Creation of RWE protocols and payer business cases to ensure scale.

    For 4.5 months of the pandemic I was officially seconded to NHSx to lead the deployment of virtual wards across 5 NWL primary care CCGs and one secondary care hospital in north west london. I led a team (AZImperial design team) to set up and deploy remote monitoring and new COVID 19 virtual ward pathways in 4 weeks (Inc pathway, process mapping, EPR templates, SOPs, technology, IG, training and measurement). Over 300+ patients monitored (Huma app) and significant evidence generated to show safety, acceptability, resource efficiency and improved outcomes due to early action based on disease deterioration. Preliminary results published by NHSx and NHSE. "Virtual wards" have now been scaled across the UK. Methodology and framework created has been codified and scaled within NHSx and local AHSNs.
