About Adam Imbert
Hi! I'm a logic loon with a penchant for problem-solving (and a love of games)! Thanks for stopping by my page.For the past few years I have been developing my programming and people skills alike at North Carolina State University, where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Game Development.While there, my work with amazing up-and-coming engineers and creatives took me through a wide variety of projects. I created a game engine from scratch in C++, and built on the work of half a decade's worth of previous semesters to develop new features for an Electronic Health Records system, and made games with my peers in the Video Game Development Club. I even had the honor of contributing to an undergraduate research project under Dr. Arnav Jhala, in which I helped develop a front-end client in Unity for a social simulation intended to simulate information spread in human populations.Learning how to learn has been critical to my success so far, and I'm carrying that mentality forward as I begin my post-graduate job search! Long-time member of the VGDC, since my freshman year of college. Through it, I have participated in a number of game jams, learned from industry professionals, and worked collaboratively with many fellow students who are themselves up-and-coming game developers. I've pitched to and led teams of up to 6 other members, coordinating on development tasks in software such as Trello to ensure that a game is made despite the often tight deadlines for game jams.Although I am now an NCSU alum, I fully intend to continue my participation in club activities, if in a less official capacity!

Undergraduate Researcher
Developed a social simulation ("Anthology") tool interface using Unity game engine, coordinating closely with the team developing the simulation back-end itself. Designed systems to mirror the state of the back-end in a Sims-like game environment, and diagrammed/implemented user interface elements that allow users to manipulate the state and speed of the simulation. Anthology, which was designed to simulate the spread of information within a population, was planned to be used to model the effectiveness of emergency evacuation communication.
